This is a magnificent competition and I am proud to be a part of it each year by interviewing the contestants and producing short mini-doc video—bios that are shown on the big screen just before each singer takes the stage. We also produce a short video feature each year that is presented while the judges make their decisions.

Concert of Arias supporters raised over $725,000. All proceeds benefit the Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers and Houston Grand Opera Studio’s ongoing outreach efforts to identify, attract, and nurture young artists who have the potential for major careers in opera.
